I hate using words like "insightful" and "revealing" in reference to documentaries, it just seems lazy.

This documentary is an insightful and revealing look in to the French legal system. Told entirely in the titular "moments in trials" with no narration or exegesis, the film creates a fascinating portrait of life in a courtroom.
We see all kinds of misdemeanour defendants, from people experiencing their first brush with the law, to those with the proverbial rap-sheet as long as your arm. Funny and tragic, incisive and spare and beautiful.
