So you're a mediocre Japanese school teacher. Your young son is teased because of you, your wife is having an affair and your daughter is out with her sugar daddy. What do you do? Obviously you lock yourself in a your room and sew yourself a replica of a costume from a long forgotten, unsuccessful superhero television show, ZEBRAMAN!!! And it's a good thing you do to, because it just so happens that green-jelly aliens have invaded your town, taking over citizens and a secret government taskforce is planning to nuke the site from orbit, because it's the only way to be sure. This is probably the tamest Takashi Miike movie I've seen, and it's also my new favourite. It is simultaneously completely ridiculous and touching.
