Eve and her older sister grow up in Vancouver in the 70's. Life is pretty good, apart from the bit of racism floating around.
Then, a family tradgedy strikes. Their Mother grieves, and their Father must return to China to bring word to the greater family.
Left mostly to their own devices to try and come to terms with the loss, the girls turn to religion. Elder sister takes to Catholicism with the zeal of the convert. Eve, on the other hand, doesn't think there's a problem with keeping tabs with both Jesus and Bhudda. After all, they teach the same things, right? They're probably best friends. Heartwarming family blah blah blah. I enjoyed it.
